On our coasteering routes, jumping into the water is one of the most anticipated moments. And no wonder: flying for a few seconds before falling into the sea is a liberating experience. But it is also a technical maneuver that requires preparation, analysis and judgment. At Easy Adventurs we don’t improvise: we design our routes based on training, professional experience and real safety.
How much is too much?
Viral videos on social media show people jumping off cliffs of 15, 20 or even more than 30 meters. What you don’t see in those videos are the consequences when things go wrong: serious injuries, poorly cushioned impacts, fractures… or even emergency situations due to currents, rocks or lack of visibility.
We work with a professional approach. Our team is made up of qualified guides specialized in mountain sports and water activities. We know, from technical studies, that from 10-12 meters the impact can cause significant damage if it is not done with a proper posture or if there is any error. That’s why we limit the height of our jumps to what we consider safe and reasonable based on the group, the tide and the conditions of the day.
And the vests?
In some sections of the route we do not use a life jacket during the jumps. Why? Because in certain cases its buoyancy can modify the posture when entering the water and increase the risk of injury. But that doesn’t mean we don’t have them: we always have life jackets available for those who need them, or for extended swimming sections. It is part of our safety protocol and our prior planning.
Each jump point is checked, tested and validated by our guides before using it with participants. Do not jump if the sea does not allow it, if there is not enough depth, if the currents are unstable or if the entrance is not clean. And no one is ever forced to jump. Adventure must be a challenge… but never an unnecessary risk.
Jump with your head
Adrenaline is part of what moves us, but we do it from awareness and experience. The goal is not only to have a good time, but to finish each route knowing that we have experienced something unique, exciting and, above all, safe.
Jumping, yes, but with your head. With technique. And with respect.
